La Vie Galerie LLC announces a Call for Entries for a new exhibit, ALL ABOUT LOVE, scheduled to open on February 9, 2020 and run through March 15, 2020.  

Love does not have a specific meaning. It is an ambiguous notion since its definition is open to more than one interpretation. Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotions. It is a relational word. You can love objects that do not love you back—the sky or a painting. 

The diversity of meanings combined with the complexity of the feelings involved makes love unusually difficult to define. What is your visual interpretation of ALL ABOUT LOVE?

All work accepted for this exhibit must convey your interpretation of “love.” You may submit all 2D & 3D art including illustrations, painting (all media), photography, graphic art, computer generated art, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, etc.

• Entry fee – 1 to 5 submissions $30.
• Additional submissions above the 5 (maximum 10) $5. each

• Kindly send the entry fee prior to submitting your work for consideration for the exhibit.
• All submissions and entry fees must be received by January 31, 2020.
• Notification of acceptance – February 2, 2020

Accepted artwork must be delivered or received by the gallery between February 3 - 7, 2020 (no later than February 7, 2020 no exceptions). If shipping, the work must be packed in reusable packaging (no peanut packing) with a pre-paid return shipping label enclosed.

All artwork received must be framed, wired (no saw tooth hangers) and ready to be hung. Work not properly framed and submitted will not be exhibited.

The artistic eye does not necessarily see the world as it actually exists.  Color, form, dimension are often altered within the context of the presented visual.  Twisted by Nature celebrates the world as interpreted by the artist.

Subject matter is at the discretion of the artist but, all submissions should have a twist to it—be it nature, portraits, or abstracts. Think color, juxtaposition of subject, unusual settings, surrealism, or abstracts as you prepare your work for submission. For example, work submitted should not be a straight forward landscape or portrait, etc. 

All work accepted for this exhibit must have a “twist” on reality. You may submit all 2D & 3D art including illustrations, painting (all media), photography, graphic art, computer generated art, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, etc.

Historically, the human form has been revered as an object of beauty or covered and concealed as something to be ashamed of. Naked in Jersey, through the eyes of the artists, removes the trappings of clothing to unveil the essence of the soul.  To allow the body to be seen in its natural state is to show the soul of the individual in all its glory and complexity. 

The inherent beauty of the human form with an emphasis on sensuality, power, and strength is explored with the work presented in Naked in Jersey.

NEW GALLERY IN LIVINGSTON TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE ON SUNDAY

NEW GALLERY, NEW EXHIBIT OPENS IN LIVINGSTON FEB. 1st

WHEN: The new exhibit will open on February 1, 2019 and be on display through March 17, 2019 with an Opening Reception on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 11am - 4 pm. Gallery hours Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm and by appointment on the weekends.

After both a successful opening and special exhibition for World AIDS Day, La Vie Galerie LLC , a new fine art gallery in Livingston, New Jersey, is honored to announce the opening of a new exhibit in honor of Carnevale.    

Carnevale features the photography skills of award-winning photographer Lester Blum in Gallery A. The other galleries will explode with powerful, dynamic artwork executed by 24 skilled artists most of who are from Essex County, New Jersey and the surrounding area.

Curated by Vladimir Rios, entrepreneur, artist and owner of La Vie Galerie LLC, the work presented includes paintings, pastels, photography, digital painting, silverpoint, sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry. The styles, media, and background of the artists are varied and diverse offering the viewer a visual experience with artistic diversity.

Artists and/or their work will be rotated approximately every six weeks to offer the viewer a different experience on each gallery visit. Periodically throughout the year, special exhibits pertaining to social issues will be presented such as the I Still Remember exhibit on World AIDS Day. The focus of these exhibits will be to educate the viewer through visual arts.

La Vie Galerie LLC is a multi-room gallery which exhibits emerging, mid-career, and established artists creating contemporary paintings, fine art photography, sculptures, ceramics, and jewelry. The gallery is all inclusive – not restricting the artists because of background or credentials.  The mission of the La Vie Galerie LLC is to provide its artists greater exposure to a new market.
