Opening Weekend of WAITING FOR SUNSHINE @ Deep Space Gallery in Jersey City

WAITING FOR SUNSHINE

WHEN: Saturday, June 27th, from 2-11pm and Sunday, June 28th, from 2-8pm.
WHERE:
Deep Space Gallery, 77 Cornelison Ave., Jersey City

Waiting for Sunshine features new works by Rebecca Johnson & Macauley Norman with the safety of our guests our top priority. We've made the opening into a two-day event so that we can accommodate shorter visits and fewer visitors in the gallery at a time.

While walk-ins are welcome, those with reservations will be prioritized. Only 6 people are permitted in the gallery at a time and for a duration of a half hour. All guests must wear a face mask and respect safe social distancing (6 feet) of those outside of their "quarantine pod." We will have several hand sanitizing stations throughout the space and we ask that you utilize them.

We are asking everyone to please reply to this email with the date and time that you would like to come and see the show or fill out the reservation form at this link:

RESERVATIONS HERE!

This new exhibition features solo shows by Rebecca Johnson and Macauley Norman. Both artists will be on premises to greet you and speak with you about their work, as they have been looking forward to sharing these bodies of work for quite some time. Their work is gorgeous and is sure to lift your spirits.

We will launch an adjacent online show this week entitled, “ROOTS UP: A Community Fundraiser.” Deep Space artists will donate works for sale and all proceeds will go to a local organization that supports otherwise unavailable skill-building and creative opportunities for youth in our city. We will be working with neighborhood organizations that offer school-based and outside-of-school programs including arts, technology, and other creative enrichment activities. We will be sharing the “ROOTS UP” link far and wide and ask that you help us do the same so that we can raise as many funds as possible. We will be sharing more about this online exhibition soon.

We are committed to supporting and together uplifting one another with the utmost respect, love, and understanding. From the roots up, we seek fertile ground for a mindful, compassion-filled, creatively connected community.
