What does a musician do when not playing music?

These were only some of the questions asked and discussed by bassist Roosevelt Porter, violinist/violist Rozie Dumas, cellist Evan Ardelle, and bassoonist Lee Doswell on the special July 4 episode of the popular Bach, Bagels, and Bob.

Joining the show was Jee-Hoon Krska, founder and director of Keys 2 Success. She, her young artists, and the BONJ musicians participated in the landmark Premiere collaborative video shown and discussed in the show.

Also included were excerpts from BONJ performances of music by American composers George Chadwick, Florence Price, George Gershwin, and Scott Joplin.

The show is now ready to watch and enjoy again or to watch in case you missed it the first time.

The Color Purple

Ladysmith Black Mambazo

For over 50 years, South Africa’s five-time Grammy® Award-winners, Ladysmith Black Mambazo have warmed the hearts of audiences worldwide. With a deep respect for both their cultural and personal history, Ladysmith is ever-evolving with an eye toward their long musical legacy.
