Some of R&B’s biggest names—Tony Grant, Chrisette Michele, Musiq Soulchild, Marsha Ambrosius, Raheem DeVaughn, MC Lyte, Dave Hollister and others—star in this musical stage version of the acclaimed romantic comedy Love Jones, celebrating 20 years! This must-see event is at Newark Symphony Hall.

Fusing chart-topping hits and fan-favorite songs from the artists, along with a few original songs, Love Jones The Musical will be a transformative experience for the audience. Written by Timothy Allen Smith and directed by Zadia Ife, Love Jones The Musical tells a universal and timeless story of love, heartbreak and starting over.

Jazz is Dead celebrates the 50th Anniversary of The Grateful Dead with their highly-anticipated exclusive tour beginning August 1, the late Jerry Garcia’s birthday, and running through Labor Day 2015. Jazz is Dead – A Jazz Exploration of the Grateful Dead embarks from the point of Garcia and company’s most complex and audacious material from many periods of their storied history. Each performance promises Deadheads musical staples as well as inspired improvisation crafted by a line-up of stellar players.

This Paris-based sextet combines traditional melodies from their many inspirations (Klezmer, Romani music, and Gypsy Jazz) as well as more modern Jazz styles. They include everything from a Yiddish lullaby to a rousing, dance-inspiring fusion of klezmer violin with modern sampling and Arabic drums. Their name is taken from Russian Gypsy song, Dark Eyes, made popular by Django Reinhardt.
