Tomorrow night: Virtual Performance with Dance NJ

Did you miss the 2020 premiere of Earth's Lungs March 7th and 8th? 

Join us for a virtual performance tomorrow night when we celebrate the dances of 2020 with our fellow Dance New Jersey members!

Dance NJ's Virtual "Show Up & Dance" Festival: Celebrating the Dances of 2020

Join us in celebrating dance through these uncertain times! Nikki Manx Dance Project is in "Program B" of the organization's virtual season, which runs Thursday-Saturday at 8pm. Check out an excerpt of our March 2020 premiere, just one week before our state's lockdown. The 2020 work was a response to wildfires in the Amazon, accompanied by an original live score. The virtual performances features statewide creativity, innovativeness, persistence and commitment to the field of dance throughout 2020!

  • You will receive a live stream link within an hour of the show and a virtual program to follow along! Don't worry—DanceNew Jersey will also send reminder emails so you won't miss it!
  • Suggested donation: $10 (Please note that the performance will only be available for viewing when it's live streamed, not after the event).

 Last 2 Masterclasses this Summer!

The last two Tuesday Modern Masterclasses Online & In-Person at HeART in Motion in Ridgewood, NJ

 WHEN: Tuesdays, August 18th and 25th, from 6:30-8pm 

WHERE: HeART in Motion Studio, directed by founding company dancers, Nikki Manx and Laura Van Dyke. Class will be streamed online via Zoom, as well as in person. Please bring a mask for classes in person. For classes on Zoom, please find the Zoom registration here
WHO: Recommended for teens & adults, intermediate-advanced levels

TONIGHT, August 18th: Caitlin Knowles will teach excerpts of new work
in response to original repertory, Dying of the Light 

Structured after an NMDP company class, we will begin with explorations of the space and work to warm the entire body starting with the spine and core. The class will then visit center and across the floor exercises that focus on body weight and movement detail. Class will culminate in learning an excerpt of NMDP repertory based on social and environmental justice.

NMDP Modern Masterclass Series Online & In-Person at HeART in Motion in Ridgewood

NMDP Modern Masterclass Series Online & In-Person

Please join us and spread the word as company dancers teach class and repertory at HeART in Motion, a dance and fitness studio directed by founding company dancers, Nikki Manx and Laura Van Dyke. The company held residency at the Bergen County studio for their last season, Earth Lungs, and is excited to teach the 2nd annual "Mostly Modern Masterclass Series" at HeART in Motion this year.


WHEN: Tuesdays 6:30-8pm, July 21st-August 25th
Recommended: Teens & Adults, Intermediate-Advanced levels

Class will be streamed online via Zoom, as well as in person. Please bring a mask for classes in person.
