In this virtual presentation, Ann Fahey, Superintendent of Horticulture Education, will explore plant combinations that will make your garden pop! Discover how to put color and contrast together to create a garden of your dreams.  Learn more here.

VIRTUAL HOME SCHOOL DAYS: THE POWER OF THE FLOWER

Flower blossoms have only one job, no matter how pretty or drab they are.  Dissect a flower and learn its parts, how it does what it does, and start some flower seeds or early spring plantings. Supplies provided, pick up at Frelinghuysen Arboretum prior to program. Click here to find out more!

TRAIL SAFETY SURVEY

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and the Circuit Coalition is conducting a survey to better understand our trail users and what makes them feel safe or unsafe on trails based on perceptions and past experiences (on and off the trail).

March 11 Fashion Through the Ages

In celebration of Women’s History month, join Museum Registrar Katie Humphreys as we take a virtual tour through the changing face of women’s fashion over the past two hundred years. Discover why certain choices became fashionable, learn how to identify what decade a dress is from, and get a sneak peek at how our museum professional staff preserves these delicate pieces for the future.

Black bears are an important part of our natural world, and all New Jersey residents should know how to react if they encounter one of these amazing mammals. An interactive multimedia presentation, bear artifacts, and a fun simulation activity help participants to better understand black bear history, adaptations, life cycle, diet, and needs.

Join members of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club as they virtually tour the Tourne Wildflower Trail and discuss spring ephemerals and other native flowers.
