Ask an Astronomer: A Cosmic Perspective — Searching
for Aliens, Finding Ourselves

Are we alone in the universe? Or does life exist elsewhere? Award-winning
astronomer, Dr. Jill Tarter will lead a discussion on where we came
from, how we fit into the cosmos, and where we are going.
In celebration of Black History Month, special guest Aaron R. Tucker,
celebrity wardrobe stylist & costume designer, will discuss the
advancement of people of color in and around the fashion industry.
Danielle Pearman from Drinks with
Dannie will be joining in to create a delicious
cocktail called Love Potion Rose Spritzer.
This ensemble of dynamic and energetic dancers uses breakdancing and
an abundance of audience participation to explore hip hop’s rich
cultural history as well as how Black youth changed the world.
Learn about photography and create your own works in this fun
interactive smartphone photography lesson. Students will discuss
perspective, still-life photography, portraits, and angles as they
create and understand the art of photography.
Figure drawing is a foundational practice that will improve a wide
array of art making skills. Hone your techniques in this one-hour
session with a live model who will go through a variety of poses.
