The Axelrod Performing Arts Center begins The Anne & Sheldon Vogel Virtual Concert Series.
A rare musical experience—hearing the heart- wrenching, poetic and often funny songs of country legend Willie Nelson through the fearless voice of Gabrielle Stravelli, one of the jazz world’s most lyrical and versatile singers. As a US State Department Jazz Ambassador, Gabrielle has rightly placed Willie Nelson in the Great American Songbook, alongside Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer and the Gershwins.
Gabrielle has appeared many times on the Axelrod stage, including big band tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Richard Rodgers and George Gershwin.

Among the favorite songs covered on the album are “Crazy,” written by Nelson and made famous by Patsy Cline, “Always on My Mind,” “Stardust,” “Somebody Pick Up My Pieces” as well as some rare gems too. Don’t miss Gabrielle tomorrow night!
