“MERCHANT OF VENICE” READING ON FACEBOOK & YOUTUBE

Merchant of Venice

Shakespeare Troupe proudly presents

A Sunset Reading of Shakespeare's Play about Prejudice, Mercy, and Relationship Values

NOTE: The live presentation of this program was on Thursday. Good News! The video of The Merchant of Venice reading will be posted on the STSF Facebook page through the weekend, June 25-28, and on YouTube! Here is the link for it: Shakepeare Troupe videos on YouTube

WHERE: The main feed will go to Yiddishkayt Initiative, and we will cross-post onto the STSF page. Here's the link to STSF video page: Shakespeare Troupe of South Florida Videos. Find and Click the LIVE video, and enjoy the show! If the cross-post isn't working, you can find the video on the Yiddishkayt Initiative page: Yiddishkayt Initiative.

The all-star cast of professional actors from around the country is headlined by Mr. Avi Hoffman, whose own Yiddishkayt Initiative is co-producing the virtual reading.

With Avi Hoffman as Shylock, Steve Anthony as Antonio the Merchant, Todd Allen Durkin as Bassanio, Betsy Graver as Portia, Jovon Jacobs as Gratiano, Rachel Finley as Nerissa, Timur Kocak in multiple roles, and up-and-coming young stars, Jennifer Coe as Jessica with Alexander Papanastasopoulos as her Lorenzo. The music you'll hear within the show has been created by Donna Stearns, composer. The slides pictured in the show have been assembled and displayed by stage manager extraordinaire Lyla Flashman. The illustration of the Three Caskets (above) was created by ShakesTroupe illustrator, Anthony Penta Kramer.

Finally, we are building toward the future. Every production costs, and we'll need to hit our goal of $100,000 to create our vision of presenting LIVE Shakespeare to the public and to the schools, when it's safe to do so. So please Donate what you can, either here, on the STSF Facebook page, or on our website, www.ShakesTroupe.org.
