This world premiere performance will feature 7 singers and Maestro Butts conducting members of the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey through the opera score.

“I read a story about two people who meet 30years after they were high school sweethearts,” Maestro Butts said. “They find that some of the old first love feelings remain, but their lives have gone in different directions. They realize they will always have those memories. It touched me, and I decided to create a little opera telling their story and setting it in a small town during the Christmas holiday season.”

In the second half of the event, Maestro Butts will lead members of the BONJ in a selection of holiday songs.

Featured opera performers: Timothy Maureen Cole, Kevin Peters, Dmitri Zigrino, Jason Adamo, Ann Urbanowicz, Theresa Carlomagno, Teresa Giardina.
