EXHIBIT @ MORRIS MUSEUM FEATURES ART BY STUDENTS & FACULTY FROM LOCAL COLLEGES

Emily Larossa

Four Colleges: A Student/Faculty Art Exhibition

WHEN: Beginning September 13through November 20, 2016.
WHERE: Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Hgts. Rd., Morristown

Anais LopezFeaturing County College of Morris, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Drew University and College of Saint Elizabeth, Four Colleges will bring the work of local students and faculty together to showcase the talent right here in our own backyard.

The intention of the exhibition is to probe an artist’s sphere of influence.  What are the significant influences on an artist? Can we detect that influence in his/her work? How does an art teacher influence a student’s work? Can we see it in a student’s work? In his/her life? (Above, left: Anais Lopez of Drew University, Untitled. Image courtesy of the artist.)

By showcasing these four schools, the Morris Museum will celebrate and bring together the creative resources in our community.

The Morris Museum is a Blue Star Museum, offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their families, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
