Studio Art Morning Program

Children will work in mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, collage and printmaking. Each two-week session has a distinct theme. Visits to the Museum’s galleries are included to enrich the child’s knowledge of fine arts.

In addition to making art every day, children are encouraged to interact, talk, and learn about the history of art, its role in society, and how it affects our daily lives.

Children are grouped in age-specific classes (5 – 7, 8 – 9, and 10 – 12). Classes are limited to 12 – 15 children, and projects are never repeated.

  • Session I: July 1 – 12: Taking It to the Streets: Urban Art
  • Session II: July 15 – 26: Art and Music: A Magical Musical Tour
  • Session III: July 29 – August 9: Hippogriffs and Hobbits: The Art of Fantasy Creatures
  • Session IV: August 12 – 23: Create and Investigate! The Art of Great Scientific Discoveries
