NEW JERSEY BALLET TO AUDITION CHILD DANCERS FOR “NUTCRACKER” AT bergenPAC

New Jersey Ballet will hold auditions to fill the roles of Mother Ginger’s clown children in the Company’s acclaimed production of Nutcracker.

Children must be between the ages of 7 and 13 and have at least two years of ballet and/or gymnastics training. Those children selected will perform with the professional cast when New Jersey Ballet brings its popular Nutcracker to Englewood for three performances on December 3 and 4. 

This season is the 25th year that New Jersey Ballet’s Nutcracker has played at bergenPAC. The production, known for its splendid special effects, lavish costumes and magnificent dancing, will open on Saturday, December 3 with a performance at 4:30 PM, and continue with 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM performances on Sunday, December 4. 

In addition to the age requirement (7 through 13 years) and training (at least two years of ballet and/or gymnastics), children must be available to rehearse on the six Sundays starting October 23 through November 27 from 12:30 to 3:00 PM. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled immediately prior to performance dates.
