FAREWELL TO BLOGGER! HELLO TO SUBSTACK! WHERE TO FIND THE NJ ARTS MAVEN IN THE FUTURE

Dear Loyal Followers and Readers,

It is with a heavy heart that I cease updating the Blogger version of the NJ Arts Maven, a blog I started in 2010 when the newspapers that published my reviews closed their Entertainment sections.

For nearly 15 years, I published press releases and reviews of local theater (some by me, others by guest reviewers), but I have run into a roadblock regarding the email delivery of a digest of my latest posts.

It seems that this Blogger version is too large (over 17,000 posts), and Blogger will not permit me to delete large batches of posts to reach a more manageable size. They must be deleted individuality—a monumental task!

Therefore, I have migrated the blog over to Substack. It's not as pretty, and I cannot select fonts and colors, but I have devised a way to publish and send out a digest of the latest posts with a link for each (just touch the title) to provide more information. You may have to OPEN IN APP, which means downloading the SUBSTACK app onto your cellphone and tablet. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem on desktop or laptop computers with Malware or other such program flagging the site as NOT SECURE.

I will no longer post on this platform. I had thought about keeping both Substack and Blogger up-to-date, but it's too big a job.

I received a list of those followers to whom follow.it (the platform that sent out Blogger) sent updates each morning. I entered all those addresses into the ADD SUBSCRIBERS window on Substack, so you will continue to get the NJ Arts Maven updates each morning. If you don't wish to receive them, just unsubscribe.

The URL for the NJ Arts Maven is www.njartsmaven.substack.com.

Of course, I hope you won't. There is no fee for subscribing; I am not in this to make money. All I ask is that you attend those events that interest you (and tell them you heard about it from the NJ Arts Maven) and recommend the site to your friends!

It was a good ride, first on Microsoft Live Writer and then Blogger. When neither Microsoft nor Blogger would support the blog, I was forced to find a way to work around it. I hope you will continue to follow and read the blog!

Thanks for your loyalty and friendship,

Ruth Ross
