Meet The Director: Ryan George

 

Ryan George is a Miami raised, Brooklyn based artist with a BFA from The University of Florida. He is so thrilled and humbled to be directing at George Street Playhouse for the first time, after being fortunate enough to act for the company on multiple occasions dating back to 2018. His previous directing credits include The Royale (The Hippodrome Theater) and The Mountaintop (The Hippodrome Theater & Uptown PAC). Some of his performance credits include Blues for an Alabama Sky (Barrington Stage), The Liar (Arvada Center), The Brothers Size (Gablestage), & Midwives (George Street Playhouse). He’s thankful to his partner, his family, friends, and team for their constant support!

OBIE AWARD WINNER, CHARLES BUSH!

 


This past week, CharlesBusch was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Obie Award for decades of bringing wondrous, revolutionary works to the stage! George Street Playhouse is proud to have presented the world premiere of Ibsen's Ghost last season. We send our love and congratulations to Charles on this Award!

Student Matinee: KING JAMES - Book Today!

 

 


George Street Playhouse's next student matinee will be for Rajiv Joseph's King James- a story of a friendship that started from the love of NBA Superstar, LeBron James. Our student matinees are appropriate for high school students, and Student Tickets are only $25 each!

Student matinee performances include a study guide and can be used to enhance many areas of study. Performances are followed by a facilitated, 30-minute post-show discussion with members of the cast.
