AN ELECTRIC NIGHT OF EDITH PIAF! WATCH VIDEO

CHRISTINE ANDREAS RECREATES EDITH PIAF

WATCH VIDEO FROM 54BELOW APPEARANCE

If the song titles “La Vie en Rose,” “Non, je ne regrette rien” and “Milord” carry you to a far-off sensuous place filled with exquisite memories and a fine Beaujolais, then you must not miss Christine Andreas’s Edith Piaf: NO REGRETS, hailed by New York critics and fans alike. “The most thrilling rendition of ‘La Vie en Rose’ this side of Edith Piaf,” begins Stephen Holden of The New York Times. “Ms. Andreas’s voice, unlike Piaf’s, isn’t the feral cry of a street urchin, but it is infused with a high-voltage current of electricity that rides on a quickened vibrato and gives everything she sings a sense of urgency.”

Edith Piaf: NO REGRETS takes the stage at Bell Theater on Saturday, June 15, at 8 PM. Ms. Andreas will be accompanied by her husband, the composer Martin Silvestri, on piano and accordion.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Christine Andreas (My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!, La Cage Aux Folles) is transcendent in this heartfelt tribute to the world-famous French chanteuse Edith Piaf. A multi-media production that includes many of the Little Sparrow’s most famous songs, stories about her tragic life and many love affairs, and her adventures in Paris, New York and beyond.

FOR PIAF LOVERS…NEW & OLD

Bell Theater’s Artistic Director Andrew DePrisco is “beyond excited to welcome Christine Andreas to Bell Theater for her exquisite tribute to Edith Piaf. I’ve been a devoted fan of Edith Piaf for decades, but if you’re new to the name, imagine the love child of Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and Billie Holiday…and then add some real tragedy and passion! A true star on stage, Christine is a consummate actress and singer, and she is at the height of her powers. You’ll have no regrets for spending the evening with Christine and the Little Sparrow!”

FROM ELIZA ON BROADWAY TO EDITH AT BELL

On Broadway, Andreas, a multiple-award-winning singer and actress, captured theatergoers’ hearts as Eliza Doolittle in the 20th-anniversary production of My Fair Lady (Theatre World Award), Oklahoma! (Tony nomination) and On Your Toes (Tony nomination). She also starred as Jacqueline in the recent revival of La Cage aux Folles with Kelsey Grammer and created the role of Marguerite St. Just in The Scarlet Pimpernel.
