New Jersey
Photography Forum: Colorific 2023 September 7 - October 17
In this curated exhibit, eighteen members of
the New Jersey Photography Forum explore the power and
impact of color and the role it plays in photography. Color
exists all around us, but we don’t always take the time to
enjoy its beauty, feel its emotions or understand its
power. Imagine what your world and life would be like if
you didn’t have color surrounding you. Images in this
exhibit range from realistic photographs to highly
manipulated abstracts, and subjects include landscapes,
flowers, people and travel. What they all have in common is
color.
The New Jersey Photography Forum is one of the
largest photographic groups in the state. They are
dedicated to providing a space for members to develop and
grow in their craft and art, as well as develop the skills
needed for exhibiting their work.

Katie
Niewodowski: Fibonnacci’s Flower September 7 – October 17
Fibonnacci’s Flower is an exhibit of Katie Niewodowski’s
most recent paintings examining the ‘Flower of Life’
structure, which represents the mathematical building
blocks of life and is considered a sacred geometric
pattern.
Originally from Bradenton, Florida, Katie has lived in
Jersey City since 2006, where she makes and teaches art and
owns a personalized portrait company, Petitraits. Katie is
also a yogi and yoga instructor – a spiritual practice that
she integrates into her art.
Katie is currently a professor of Visual Arts at RISD,
Montclair State University, Seton Hall University, and
Hudson County Community College. She received her BFA from
Ringling College of Art and Design in 2002 and her MFA from
Montclair State University in 2005.
Her work is a meditation on the phenomenon of life and the
creative structures that perpetuate it. She explores the
interconnectedness of life that exists in our universe and
patterns in nature, the body, and mathematics, such as the
Golden Ratio, fractals, and sacred geometry. Her paintings,
drawings, and sculptures examine the visual representations
of this macro- and microcosmic field and seek to understand
the systems that connect it.
