Fridays, September 8 – October 27

Ages 3 - 5 with an adult. $125 per child.

Grab your favorite preschooler and explore the fall garden as it winds down for the season in this 8-week, hands-on gardening program. There's still a lot to do, to harvest, and to eat in the fall garden and children will discover that gardening is a circle and is a lot of fun! Check it out!

Fridays, September 9 – October 28

Ages 6 - 14. $175 per child.

Young gardeners can extend the gardening season for 8 weeks in the fall and learn how to put the garden to bed for the year, what grows in the fall, and how to save seeds for next year. Find out more.

Kids can join this fun new series all about birds and meet other birding kids! Each month, we'll cover some birding basics and head out on the trails to look for birds and use field guides, binoculars, and birding apps to hone identification skills. Binoculars provided. Because of its unique location and its history of glaciation, New Jersey has some fascinating geology to explore. Join Geologist Victoria Devlin-McLoughlin for the first class in this 2-part series which will explore the Piedmont region and the formation of the Great Swamp with a multimedia presentation and an outdoor walk. Spend the day working alongside Cooper Gristmill's Master Miller and develop the skills to have the run of the mill! Each month our group will take on new challenges and learn a different aspect of the milling process. Find out more!

Visit the Arboretum's gardens and learn how to correctly cut flowers and successfully arrange them into a beautiful, long-lasting display. All materials supplied. Take home your arrangement! Check it out!

Young scientists explore different parts of the natural world through experiments and activities. Science will surprise you with things that you didn't know were possible! In this session, participants will perform experiments to uncover the importance of bees and discover the complexity of their lives through hands-on activities. September 21

Create your own fresh tea in this hands-on workshop! Walk down to our Tea herb garden to harvest leaves and make your own recipes to taste and take home. Learn how to harvest and dry herbs for the winter months to come! Check it out!

Join the Conserve Wildlife Foundation in this fascinating night walk to learn about, and hopefully find, bats as they begin their evenings.
