TV and Broadway's VICKI LEWIS & JOHN SCHERER Lead Cast of THE PROM   The Broadway musical comedy THE PROM makes its New Jersey professional debut at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in a new production directed by TODD BUONOPANE (Broadway’s Spelling Bee and Grease) and choreographed by BROOKE ENGEN (Hairspray, the film with John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer) with musical direction by MICHAEL GILCH.   THE PROM stars Broadway and television’s VICKI LEWIS (NBC’s Newsradio and Three Sisters; Broadway’s Chicago, Damn Yankees and Anastasia) as Broadway diva Dee Dee Allen opposite Broadway veteran JOHN SCHERER (Broadway’s By Jeeves and Sunset Boulevard) as her sidekick Barry Glickman.   Vicki Lewis John Scherer   New York theater favorite EMILY McNAMARA (HBO’s Vinyl) as Angie Dickison and MATT HILL as Trent Oliver complete the Broadway quartet that invades an Indiana high school where teenager Emma Nolan (played by LILLIAN BELLE DOLL) is forbidden from bringing her girlfriend Allysa Green (EMILY PELLECHIA) to the school dance.
