Soprano Jennifer Sgroe and pianist Eric Sedgwick, finalists in the 2022 competition, perform a program of works written by women composers during the past 20 years. See the full schedule and learn more about our campus and community partners!   6 to 7:30 pm / Music Writing: Passport In conjunction with the exhibition Komar and Melamid: A Lesson in History, cellist Valeria Sholokhova reenacts a performance of the duo’s work Music Writing: Passport, originally performed in 1976 simultaneously by the American cellist and performance artist Charlotte Moorman, as well as by pianists in more than 15 cities around the world. Gift of Adah Rose Bitterbaumt.     Artist Talk: Nadya Tolokonnikova Thursday, March 9 / 6 to 8 pm   The Pussy Riot creator presents “Under the Shadow of Evil: Pussy Riot and Standing Up to Vladimir Putin and His Legacy of Ashes.” She talks about the hope and despair of facing down the world's most evil dictator: from the hope of anti-Putin marches to Pussy Riot’s sham trial, fighting for feminist and LGBTQ+ rights, to Sochi, and the hopelessness in what the world witnesses with the invasion of Crimea and genocidal war in Ukraine.
