Maira Kalman in Conversation
|
Thursday, October 20, 6:30 – 8 pm EDT
Scheuer Auditorium
|
Join us for an in-person conversation to celebrate the
release of Maira Kalman’s most recent publication Women Holding
Things. In visually telling their stories, Kalman lays bare
the essence of women’s lives—their tenacity, courage, vulnerability,
hope, and pain. Kalman’s unique work is a celebration of life, of the
act and the art of living, offering a way of examining and
understanding all that is important in our world—and ultimately
within ourselves.
|
Kalman will be joined in conversation by Shira Backer,
Leon Levy Associate Curator, the Jewish Museum. This program will be
followed by a book sale and signing.
