A day of fun and educational activities highlighting the vital role of bees.

Buzz on over to Greenwood Gardens for Bee Day on Saturday, October 15, 2022, to enjoy a day of delightful discoveries highlighting the important role of our favorite pollinators - bees! A variety of bee-themed activities for the whole family will take place on the Main Lawn of our historic garden in two identical sessions. Registrants will choose to attend either the morning session from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or the afternoon session from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Adults: $15
Children and Seniors: $10
(ages 3-12)

What's Buzzing?

Choose one of two identical sessions:
Morning from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or
Afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Story Time with AbBEE | 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Children’s storybooks read by Greenwood Executive Director, AbBEE.

What's Buzzing Honeybee? | 10:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
Learn about the lifecycle and roles of the honeybee with resident beekeeper, Joe Lelinho, owner of Hilltop Honey.

Dancin' with the Honeybees | 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Interactive storytelling performance about the magic of the beehive with Cliff Sunflower, “The Bee Man.”

Children's Art Contest | 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Win free art classes and other prizes from One River Art School and have your artwork featured on a Greenwood notecard.

Waggle Dance with Buzzy the Bee | All Day
Follow Buzzy through the garden to find her favorite flower. Look out for the BEEautiful Beekeeper!

SCAVENGER HUNT, SPELLING BEE, ARTS AND CRAFTS, FACE-PAINTING, GAMES, ART CONTEST, GARDENING TIPS, HONEY TASTING, FOOD, AND MORE!
