The scarecrows are back and this fun, family photo scavenger hunt challenges you to look for the clues to find all the scarecrows… find them all to win a prize! I want to go!

Cost: $10 per family or group of 6 or less. Preregistration required.

Stems that twist and curl with two-inch spines that will keep the October ghouls at bay, this month's plant is Hardy Orange. Spring flowers lead to October fruits that are so sour you wouldn't want to eat them. Learn about and grow your own "Flying Dragon." Check it out!

Why should kids have all the fun? Now there's a mini version of our popular Survivor Summer Camp just for adults! Spend a morning in the forest learning how to pick a campsite, set up a tent, build and light a campfire and practice good camping ethics. Learn more!

predator and preyA DAY OFF WITH NATURE: PREDATOR AND PREY

October 10

Enjoy a day of fun when school is out while learning about the adaptations and survival strategies of the hunters and the hunted. Play games that simulate what life is like for each type of animal and observe these wild relationships in action on the trails. Complete the day by making a craft, reading stories and gaining a new perspective on how wild animals get their food. Participants should bring a nut-free lunch and snack. Click here for more info!
