In conjunction with the exhibition New York:
1962–1964, join a virtual discussion with Kristina Parsons,
Leon Levy Assistant Curator at the Jewish Museum, to discover how
works created amidst epoch-changing events—such as the Cuban Missile
Crisis (1962), March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom (1963), and
the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (1963)—fundamentally
altered the artistic, social, and political landscape of New York
City, and the nation at large.

Zoom, Virtual Program

Register for a three-session virtual art history
course exploring artworks from New York: 1962–1964 and
their relationship to the Jewish Museum’s institutional history.
A range of topics will be discussed, including Materials
and Materiality, Language and Mass Media, and The Body. Each
session is led by a Jewish Museum educator and is one hour in
length including Q&A.

This virtual class will not be recorded for later

Elena Moon Park as she explores East Asian musical traditions in a
mix of original songs from her notable album Unhurried Journey.

Workshop for families.
