This Week: LUNCH & LEARN:  SEED SAVING MADE EASIER September 15 How can you save your own seeds for use in the coming years to save money and perpetuate your favorite plants? Learn the hows and whys of seed saving and what to do this fall to get started as you conduct your fall garden clean-up. Click here to learn more! Cost: $10 per person. Preregistration is required.   HOME SCHOOL DAYS: THE HARVEST September 15 The harvest is an important time of year on the farm. See what grew over the summer and learn important garden skills in this fun class. Come join us! Cost: $10 per child. Preregistration required.   LEAVE NO TRACE September 16 We hear the term "Leave No Trace" all the time, but what does it really mean? It turns out there are 7 principles of LNT that every hiker, camper or nature enthusiast should know. Learn all about them as you take a guided nature walk with a naturalist. Learn more here. Cost: FREE. Preregistration required.   FARM FRIENDS DAY: ALL ABOUT APPLES September 17 Fall is the perfect time for apples. Check out our apple orchard, make an apple craft and see an apple cidering demo! Click here for more info! Cost: $10 per child. Preregistration is required.   CATERPILLAR KIDS September 18 Look under a leaf, inside a flower, and up in the air… animals are everywhere! Learn about native plants that butterflies love, the importance of pollinators, and all about the insects hidden in the butterfly garden. Check it out! Cost: $5 per person. Spotlight On: PARANORMAL EVENINGS: THE CULTURAL CENTER September 17 Spooky season has begun! Be the part of the first group to explore the paranormal at the Cultural Center! This new location has been added for the 2022 season. Join Haas Paranormal in searching for things that go bump in the night! I want to go! Cost: $50 per person. Preregistration required. EXPRESSIONS OF NATURE ART SALE AND WALK September 18 Stroll through the gardens and meet local artists recreating the beautiful scenery through their art.  Learn about their techniques, motivations and styles. Artists display a variety of their works for viewing and purchase. Join us! Cost: FREE. SCARECROWS IN THE GARDEN What better way to embrace autumn than to make a scarecrow for the garden with your friends or family? What will your scarecrow be: someone historical, a musician, maybe your favorite actor? Use your imagination to make your scarecrow at home, and then bring it to be enjoyed at the gardens by visitors! Scarecrows can be dropped off September 23, 24 or 26 Scarecrows can be viewed Saturday, October 1 - Monday, October 31
