BONJ: The Historical Collaboration Continues

The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey continued its historic collaboration with Keys 2 Success and the Newark Community with a special event in which the orchestra presented the 2022 Cynthia Platt Scholarship.

A large and enthusiastic group gathered at Pennington Court Center of Hope in Newark, New Jersey for talks, music, and refreshments.

BONJ President Jo Ann Bates discussed the orchestra's history, Maestro Robert W. Butts told the story of the collaboration, Regina Barboza, Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives, related the importance to Newark Arts, and K2S Executive Director Jee-Hoon Krska inspired all to share the magic.

Also speaking were Pennington Court Center of Hope Coordinators Mr. Parker and Ms. Rivera. Representing the orchestra were board members Douglas Anderson and Evan Ardelle.

The Cynthia Platt Scholarship has been presented by BONJ since 2012to help young artists continue their music education.
