Poet Vievee Francis responds to blockbuster exhibit in LIVE ZOOM READING

O.B. Hardison Poetry Series

Vievee Francis at The Phillips Collection

in a live Zoom reading

Wednesday, April 27, at 7:30pm (ET)

Join us virtually tomorrow Wednesday, April 27, at 7:30pm for a reading like none other. In response to The Phillips Collection exhibition, award-winning poet Vievee Francis reads from new work in conversation with pivotal works of art from a famous Spanish painter and co-founder of the Cubist movement. The exhibition includes art from 30 international collections and features more than 70 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper by French and Spanish painters.

After the reading, Francis will be joined in a conversation by exhibition curator Sue Frank, moderated by O.B. Hardison Poetry Series coordinator Teri Cross Davis.

The reading will begin with a short presentation from Sue Frank. Audience members can also ask their own questions during the moderated conversation.

Tickets are available for this reading. Because creating moments to share poetry is important to us, there are tickets available on a sliding scale.

This reading is co-sponsored with The Phillips Collection.
