The Academy
Players—students from the Axelrod Performing Arts
Academy--presents The Addams Family on the
stage of the Vogel Auditorium. America’s favorite
“creepy and kooky” family, The Addams Family was a
hit TV series in the 1960s and the subject of five Hollywood films.
The musical by Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa is
based on Charles Addams’ original single-panel cartoons and focuses
on an 18-year-old Wednesday who has fallen in love with a “normal”
teenager from Ohio and the chaos that ensues as the Addams face the
possibility of changing their traditional macabre ways. The
Addams Family is directed and choreographed by Michael
LaFleur with music direction by Michael Gilch.
Performances: May 7 and 14
at 2 PM & 7 PM and May 8 and 15 at 3 PM

CAST TO BE ANNOUNCED … SOON!!

|
June 3 – 19,
2022
Celebrating
its 50th anniversary, GREASE is
the word this summer! Rescheduled from spring of 2020, America’s
favorite 1950s musical GREASE is finally
taking the stage at the Vogel Auditorium, under the direction and
choreography of Lisa Stevens (Broadway & West
End’s Chicago, 9 to 5) with music direction by Logan
Medland. When the Broadway musical was transformed into a
Hollywood spectacular starring John Travolta and Olivia
Newton-John, Grease became a cultural phenomenon, and the musical continues to break records in the box office—because
it’s that much fun…and we LOVE every song! The show runs
