In 2011, New Jersey Ballet’s
premiere of Don Quixote made its way
onto the Star-Ledger’s prestigious Top Ten
Dance events of the year. Based on the book by
Miguel de Cervantes, the ballet takes a closer
look at one of the many adventures Don Quixote
goes on. “It is a tale rich in Spanish color,
flavor, and laugh-out-loud humor.”
Don Quixote was chosen by the Company’s
Founder Carolyn Clark in 2011 to expand the
Company’s full-length repertory. She saw this
as an opportunity to present “a joyous ballet
with outstanding choreography by Gorsky; a
delightful spectacle popular with audiences.
It’s also a wonderful opportunity for the
Company to present another full-length ballet
available to the people of New Jersey.”
New Jersey Ballet looks forward to
starting its Spring Season with a production
that puts a smile on everyone’s face. The
Company looks forward to seeing you at the
performance where you will experience the charm
of this full-length classic and bravura dancing
by New Jersey Ballet’s world-class dancers.
