NJ Makers Day on March 26

 

 

Stop by and check out our Maker Space! There will be 3D pens, LEGO building, button making and more! New Jersey Makers Day inspires and activates libraries to showcase and highlight STEM and maker culture, enhancing life-long learning.

3D Design with Tinkercad for Adults

2:00pm

Join us for a crash course in using Tinkercad, a free website for designing 3D objects. Each participant will have their 3D design printed for free after the workshop.

Learning Exchange STEM Workshop for Kids

2:00pm

The Learning Exchange will guide kids in utilizing the Engineering Design Process to design and create a prototype that solves a real-world environmental problem.

In this class we'll practice preparing and analyzing some sample sales data, using formulas. The class will focus on intermediate-level functions, such as VLOOKUP and conditional formulas, like SUMIF. More Information»

At age 92, contemporary Japanese painter and sculptor Yayoi Kusama is having a moment - today she is one of the world’s most popular and recognizable artists. Her Infinity Mirrors immersive experience installations took the world by storm in the 21st Century, but she has been making vibrant and innovative art all along. IN PERSON: Ruth Asawa—Drawing in Space with Petra Pankow

Friday, March 18 | 4:00pm

Ruth Asawa was a Japanese American modernist artist, most famous for her sculptures made of wire. Art educator Petra Pankow will lead the kids in learning about Ruth Asawa, and afterwards the children will create their own nature-inspired mobiles using pencils, paper, and wire!
