The Learning Exchange will guide kids in utilizing
the Engineering Design Process to design and create a prototype
that solves a real-world environmental problem.

artistic practice is rooted in her lifelong fascination with the
natural world, inspired by her intimate engagement with the colors,

Ruth Asawa—Drawing in Space with Petra Pankow
Friday, March 18 | 4:00pm
Ruth Asawa was a Japanese American modernist artist,
most famous for her sculptures made of wire. Art educator Petra
Pankow will lead the kids in learning about Ruth Asawa, and
afterwards the children will create their own nature-inspired
mobiles using pencils, paper, and wire! This hands-on program will
appeal to kids who enjoy art and being creative! More
