Congratulations
to APEX Fellow Tammy
Lau, who recently won the audition for
Music Librarian with the The US Marine Band “The
President’s Own,” stationed in Washington DC, one of the
world’s best known performance ensembles! An APEX Fellow
from Mannes School of Music in Manhattan, Tammy has completed
her enlistment process and is ready to begin her journey as
a professional music librarian. The APEX Ensemble
organization is proud of you, Staff Sargeant Lau!

APEX
Ensemble is excited to present chamber music as part of the
annual Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival at Branch Brook
Park in Newark! A quartet of Fellows will present short
programs for Bloomfest on Sunday at 1:30pm, and again at
3:30pm. Enjoy the festival atmosphere and the beautiful
cherry blossom trees in bloom and be sure to visit our
table and say hello!

Juilliard Vocal Arts Program joins APEX Ensemble for a season-finale
performance featuring the next generation of vocal talent,
alongside the next generation of orchestral musicians.
Soprano Felicia
Moore and baritone John Brancy
are part of a stirring and stunning celebration of song,
featuring music by Coleridge-Taylor, Mahler, Wagner and
Liszt. Music Director and Conductor David Chan leads the
full orchestra from the podium.

Youth Program Auditions
Preparations
are well underway for APEX Ensemble’s new Youth Program,
being led by Program Director Diego Garcia. APEX Youth
Programs will begin its high school focused orchestral
program in the fall, with live and virtual auditions taking
place in May 2022. For more information about youth
