Registration is now open for MPAC's Spring Classes!

 

 

Register now for our Performing Arts School classes in musical theatre, acting, voice and more for kids and adults! 

Classes will run between February and May. Visit our website to see the full class listing and times.

Winter/Spring highlights include:

 

 

  • Returning favorites Broadway Kids, Musical Theatre Workshop, Teen Cabaret, Acting Kids, Song Performance Workshop and more
  • Acting & Improv and Cabaret Workshop classes for adults
  • The Miracle Project, our fully inclusive music and theatre program for children with autism and other special needs
  • Broadway Babies, a brand-new class for our littlest performers ages 3 - 4 (begins in March)

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical tells the Tony® and Grammy® Award-winning inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

MPAC is thrilled to be once again presenting full capacity performances. Your health and safety are paramount to us, and we have made many updates to our facility and procedures. 

All MPAC patrons ages 12+ attending a performance are required to show proof of full vaccination, or a recent negative COVID-19 test. Masks are required to be worn inside the venue, except while briefly consuming concessions. Learn more in our Welcome Back Guide!

 

 

 

MPAC Music Students of the Month

 

 

We are excited to announce the January MPAC Music Students of the Month!

Students from area schools have been named as Mayo Performing Arts Center’s January 2022 Music Students of the Month – Outstanding Percussionists.

  • Calyb Craig, Grade 8, Black River Middle School; Chester
  • Michael Dalessio, Grade 12, Jefferson Township High School; Oak Ridge
  • Dean Dooley, Grade 9, Delbarton School; Morristown
  • CJ Guarente, Grade 8, Mountain View Middle School; Florham Park
  • Darian Letz, Grade 8, Ridgedale Middle School; Parsippany
  • Gerard Palmieri, Grade 7, Mount Arlington Public School; Mount Arlington
  • Jimmy Scholz, Grade 12, Whippany Park High School; Whippany
  • Meredith Weiner, Grade 12, Madison High School; Madison

Students were nominated by their teachers and were chosen by the Theatre’s Education Department based on their commitment to and excellence in the performing arts. The Theatre will honor a group of students every month throughout the season and invites area teachers to nominate students for this honor.
