Missing In Brooks County | Trailer | Available Now

Wednesday, January 12 - 7:30pm

Missing in Brooks County is the human story of immigration policies at the U.S. southern border.

Eddie Canales runs the South Texas Human Rights Center, but the messages left by strangers on his phone speak more to his unofficial role as a private detective. In a rural community where more migrants go missing than anywhere else in the United States, families of lost loved ones call Eddie for help.

An intimate portrait examining the impact of America’s war on drugs through three mothers attempting to rebuild lives derailed by drugs and prison. Follow Tomika, Lydia, and Amanda as they prepare to rejoin their families, regain the trust of their children and combat stigmas associated with their incarceration.

The reporters with India’s only all-female news network—take it upon themselves to cover their country’s inequities with unflinching and intrepid determination. These fearless journalists expose the country’s hardline nationalist leadership, rape culture, and corruption that victimizes those without voice or power.

The camera follows seniors through the hallways and into the classrooms of a prestigious San Francisco public high school as they compete to impress admissions officers at elite universities. The students proudly own their identity as nerds and tell their stories with candor and humor despite the stress.
