League Workshops Offered Virtually
Since the League is
not able to hold our regular regional meetings at this time, we have
decided instead to offer some of the workshops that are available to our members
as virtual presentations. The first workshop will be offered through Zoom meetings on Saturday, March 20, from 10 to 11 AM and again on Wednesday, March 24, from 3 to 4 PM. There is no fee for this workshop,
however, you will need to register so we can email you the materials that
are usually handed out at an in-person session. There is no limit on
workshop participants, so more than one person from your organization is
welcome to attend.
The first workshop
offered will be Your Mission, Vision and Long Range Plan. Your
mission statement is the heart of your organization. Is it clear and
concise? Do your Board and your members know exactly what you are all
about? Do you know where you are headed, where you want to
go? This workshop will cover these basic documents that are critical
for the success of any organization.
The workshops will
be presented by our Treasurer, Pary Tell. Ms. Tell is the retired
Director of the Division of Culture & Heritage for Cape May County,
where for 5 years she oversaw their arts and history grants program,
conducted workshops for local non-profit cultural organizations and offered
assistance to arts and history organizations in organization essentials.
If you would like
to attend this workshop, please email Pary at parytell@gmail.com, with your name, email and which date you
will be attending. You will receive a confirmation as well as the supplemental
materials for you to print. If you have any questions, you can call
Pary at 609-886-8577.
(Please email
Pary directly; please do NOT reply to this email.)
This break in normal
operations is a good time to step back and reassess how your organization
is doing and how you are going to move forward in the future. We hope
you will take advantage of this program from your League of Historical
Societies.
