Did you know that the Earth is divided into natural areas called biomes?  Learn all about biomes, including the temperate forest that makes up Morris County’s biome in this virtual program.  *Must pick up supplies at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum.  Click here for more information.

Winter is the best time to put up some bird feeders and see who arrives to feed.  In this virtual program find out the best kinds of feeders to use, how to discourage squirrels, and fun facts about the year-round resident birds you’re likely to see.  Check it out!

Have you ever wondered how to capture family members’ memories for posterity but were unsure where to start?  Join museum staff as they discuss the basics of taking oral histories and share some examples from the Historic Collections of the Morris County Park Commission.  Learn more here.

MAPLE SUGARING DEMONSTRATIONS

Saturdays, January 23 – March 13

1 p.m. – 2 p.m. AND  2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Learn how to identify and tap maple trees, collect sap, and make syrup over a wood-fired evaporator. This year, the program will be held entirely outdoors. Get more info!

Cost: $5 per person, age 3 & up. FREE per child under age 3. Preregistration is required.
