Enjoy a Virtual Tour of Greenwood Gardens
Though Greenwood is closed for the winter, our staff remains busy
preparing the site for our regular season which begins May 1. Our gardeners
have been clearing pathways around the ponds, restoring views to the Main House
in the process. Come spring, we will be placing several antique, ornate benches
at pond’s edge. They have been in storage for many years and will provide
opportune seating for meditation or encountering a goose or two.
In the meantime, we hope this online “tour” of the garden, accompanied by the
virtuosity of violinist William Wei playing Bach’s Partitia in E Gavotte en
Rondeau, will help you feel connected to nature and provide a revitalizing
boost to your senses. Click on the photo link below to begin the tour and
performance.
ate of the
prestigious 2015 Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition, Mr. Wei is a
recipient of the Jerome L. Greene Foundation Scholarship for his bachelor’s
degree at The Juilliard School. He was introduced to Greenwood by composer
Shiuan Chang, founder of Innuan, a non-profit organization dedicated to
exploring the critical role of live music performance in new directions for the
21st century. All photos in the virtual tour were taken by Vicki Johnson, Marketing Communications Associate at Greenwood Gardens.
