VIRTUAL WILD ABOUT
WINTER MINI-CAMP
Monday through Wednesday, December 28–30,10 am–11 am
Ages 5 - 8.
Time off from school is a great
time to learn about nature! In this LIVE program series, learn about animals
in the winter, enjoy crafts and stories, and finish the day with a packet of
other activities to try! Sign up for one or more days, as your schedule
allows. Participants must call ahead to pick up their materials at the Great
Swamp OEC.
Monday, December 28: Find out what animals do in winter with a LIVE (virtual)
animal show!
Tuesday, December 29: Learn all about the tracks that animals leave behind in the
snow and how to solve their mysteries.
Wednesday, December 30: Wild turkeys stay awake all winter. Learn all about
these amazing birds and how they survive the cold.

HOME SCHOOL DAYS
Ages 6 - 12
New, in-person and virtual options abound
for home schooling flexibility!
Enjoy a
variety of courses featuring history, environmental and horticultural education

All ages.
Bring your camera or phone for
this month’s scavenger hunt, ‘Who’s Out There?’ Take a photo of every item,

NEW YEAR'S SWAMP
STROLL
Saturday, January 2 – 10 am - 11 am
All ages.
Celebrate the new year with a
peaceful nature walk at the Great Swamp, learning about the wildlife and

PLANT OF THE MONTH CLUB FOR KIDS
Monday, January 4 –
4 pm - 4:45 pm
Ages 6 - 12.
Meet with other plant lovers,
get your hands dirty, plant a new kind of interesting, creepy, unusual, or
rare plant, and learn how to take care of it. In January, learn all
about plants that you can clone and plants that clone themselves. Click here to learn more!
