NJ’s habitats are being overrun by species that don’t belong here, better known as “invasive species.” Find out why this is a problem for the natural world, the strange stories of how these plants and animals got here in the first place, and what you can do to help.

Thursday, November 19 – The Spotted Lanternfly Is Here

The spotted lanternfly has arrived in Morris County and has been found in several of the Morris County parks. Learn how to identify them, how to get rid of host plants, and where and when to report if you do find them in your yard.

Calling all future chefs and backers! Join Miss Allie, as she leads a class on cooking techniques right in time for your holiday feasts! Learn various knife skills, how to measure correctly, and how different cooking utensils work. Near the end of the class, put together a simple meal.

Tuesday, November 17 – Clean Air by Plants

Discover why plants are so important to us and what NASA has found out about plants that helps them in space. Pick up supplies prior to class.

Guess the animal of the month with clues, then learn all the facts about this animal's life before learning to draw it using simple shapes and lines, guided by Miss Jenny.
