A Journey Through African Art, Music, and Culture

FORSA! takes you on a sonic journey exploring the art, wonder, magic, and
diversity of the 54 nations that comprise Africa and its vast Diaspora.
DJ MD, aka Marcy DePina, will be your host, and will be joined by special
guests who guide you through the rich art, music, and dance that originated on
the continent of Africa and found new expressions in the Americas and beyond.
This first episode explores the music and dance of Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde,
Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé + Principé and how they have evolved
into forms such as capoeira, samba, etc.

Latinx?

conversation addressing, “What is Latinx?” Panelists will explore this
relatively recent and sometimes controversial term, how it came to be, and
what it represents. A Q&A portion will follow.
