Sarah Pardi, the library’s Head of Public Service, recommends two stories of survival: I usually prefer to read non-fiction and when summer arrives, I am always drawn to tales that involve adventure, nature, and survival. Two titles I highly recommend are Into the Wild by John Krakauer and Adrift: 76 Days Lost at Sea by Steven Callahan. Each title tells a captivating and harrowing tale of men facing an epic battle against mother nature with two very different results. Both are page turners that will keep you glued to the end.
