Jazz Sessions: An Evening of Jazz with Sheila Anderson

Do you miss Jazz in the Garden? So do we! That’s why we are bringing it back in a virtual format. Join host Sheila Anderson and get swept away in the serenades of Dezron Douglas and Brandee Younger as they perform jazz favorites.

WHEN: 6 Weekly Sessions Starting July 6

$45 per child, per week; General Public: $50 per child, per week

We're online this summer! Campers (ages 5 through 13+) will be able to participate in two (2) 45-minute LIVE Zoom classes per day led by your favorite Museum educators. Your child will learn, reconnect with friends, make new ones, and simply have fun from the comfort of home!

Online Course: Telling Your Story Through Documentary Photography


WHEN: July 6, July 9, July 13 and July 16; 11am - Noon
FEE: $55 Adults, $49 Members, Seniors and Students

Learn to build a narrative around  your photographs in this four-part online course led by photographer, curator, and educator Colleen Gutwein O’Neal. Documentary photography is deeply rooted in conveying a message to an audience through a meaningful series of images. Participants will explore how photography can be used as a tool for scientific development, social change, and community engagement. Each session will explore  photographic techniques through both historic and contemporary examples.

The course will include four one-hour zoom sessions and access to a closed Facebook Group for posting assignments, resources, and discussion.

Students need access to a camera or camera phone for this course
