RVCC Holocaust Institute Sets Webinar Film Series Focusing on Resilience and Hope

The Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College will present a timely webinar documentary film series:

Resilience During Challenging Times: Testimonies that Provide Hope

The series is being co-sponsored by The Jewish Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon, & Warren Counties, the Holocaust Education Center of the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center, and 3GNJ. Each program will include a question-and-answer segment.

Focusing on the theme of Resilience and Hope, the webinars feature short films highlighting resilience as shared by Holocaust survivors, their children, and their grandchildren.

The scheduled list of films and guests leading the question-and-answer segments includes:

  • June 5: We Are Still Here (Director and Producer Evan Kleinman)
  • June 12: The Second Generation...Ripples From the Holocaust (Executive Producer Peppy Margolis)
  • June 19: The Hidden Child (Maud Dahme, the hidden child survivor featured in the film)
  • June 26: Not A23029, a documentary about Holocaust survivor Margit Feldman (Above, right; Executive Producer Peppy Margolis)
