Join museum educators Darryl Dwayne and Anna Muñiz in a casual meet-up to celebrate and unwind. Each episode aims to be a conversation on art, culture, and spirits. We’ll start with a toast, mix a drink, tell museum stories and focus on one of the works from the museum’s collection.

Online Course: Bookmaking in Quarantine
June 2, June 5, June 9 and June 12, Noon - 1pm
$55 Adults
$49 Members, Seniors and Students

Over the course of four online sessions, enrolled artists in “Bookmaking in Quarantine” will learn the basics of bookmaking and book binding at home in our own studio spaces.

After registration, participants will receive links to join the course's Closed Facebook Group for assignments, discussion, and critiques of work in addition to links to join each session's Zoom meeting.

This course is ideal for beginners, but all levels welcome.

Lunch & Learn: Courtney Leonard

Ceramicist and multimedia artist Courtney Leonard discusses her work in this presentation and Q&A session. Leonard’s current work embodies the multiple definitions of “breach,” an exploration and documentation of historical ties to water, whale and material sustainability.

Colorful Language: A Virtual Poetry Pop Up
Friday, May 29, 7pm

Local poets recite their rhymes and rhythms inspired by the works in the Norman Bluhm: Metamorphosis exhibition. Afterwards, engage with the poets in a round of improv poetry. This program is made in partnership with Gallery Aferro.
