NJSO postpones concerts through May 10 due to COVID-19 pandemic

The health and safety of our patrons, musicians, staff and communities are our highest priority. Due to the escalation of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) global health pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued new guidelines recommending the suspension of public events of 50 or more people for eight weeks.

Postponing our concerts and activities is the best way for us to do our part to protect our communities, the NJSO will now postpone all scheduled concerts and events through May 10.

Rescheduled performances of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Concert will take place May 19–21, 2021. Plans to reschedule other concerts, if possible, will be announced at a later date.

NJSO concerts will resume once we are confident that it is safe to hold public events. We will continue to follow updates and guidance provided by the CDC and New Jersey Department of Health to make the most informed decision possible.

We truly care about you as a member of the NJSO family, and if you have tickets for these performances, you will have multiple options from which to choose. To exchange your tickets for another performance, reschedule your Star Wars tickets, put the value of your tickets on your NJSO account, donate your tickets, and additional options, please fill out this request form. You can also contact NJSO Patron Services at tickets@njsymphony.org or 1.800.ALLEGRO (255.3476).*

In accordance with our decisions for safety, upcoming NJSO education and community engagement activities and performances will be suspended until at least May 10. For questions, contact the Education & Community Engagement team at education@njsymphony.org or 973.735.1733.*

The NJSO has canceled all donor events through May 12, including open rehearsals on March 25 and May 1. Spring into Music will be postponed. We will be directly contacting all event ticket holders. If you have any additional questions, please contact Lbessey@njsymphony.org or 973.735.1729.*
