Light Opera of New Jersey brings “H.M.S. Pinafore” free concerts to 3 locations

H.M.S. PINAFORE Light Opera of New Jersey (LONJ) will perform a one-hour concert production of Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore at the following locations: New Providence Memorial Library at 377 Elkwood Ave New Providence, NJ on Sunday March 15, 2020 at 3:00pm. Leisure Learning of Bernards Township in the Fellowship Hall of the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church at 1 East Oak Street, Basking Ridge, NJ on Monday April 13, 2020 at 1:00pm. Morristown and Morris Township Library at 1 Miller Rd, Morristown, NJ on Friday April 24, 2020 at 7:00pm. The public is invited to these performances at no charge.  LONJ's Outreach program, Savoy Faire, is intended for all ages, and is quality entertainment from singers who are well-versed in this style of operetta.  Gilbert & Sullivan's artful comedies create fanciful "topsy-turvy" worlds where each absurdity is taken to its logical conclusion, with memorable melodies that convey humor and pathos.
