A Message about the Stages Festival

Collaboration. Community. Creativity.

We at New Jersey Theatre Alliance value the safety of our member theatre staff, their artists, and audiences. Therefore, in an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19, as the producers of the Stages Festival, the New Jersey Theatre Alliance staff has made the difficult decision to postpone all festival events during the months of March and April.

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be working diligently with our theatres and community partners to find new dates for all of our slated events. We ask that you stay connected with us on social media and visit our website for updates on programming. Our theatres are also brainstorming creative alternatives such as virtual play readings, live streamed performances, and digital workshops to bring the art of theatre to you during this pandemic.

We are grateful for the collaborative action, leadership, and courage of our theatre community and partners, and for the generosity and understanding of our theatre patrons. New Jersey Theatre Alliance is here to support our theatres, artists, and communities. Please stay safe and let us know how we can help.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact Deonté Griffin-Quick, Manager of Programs and Services, at dgriffin-quick@njtheatrealliance.org.

Stay healthy. Stay safe. Stay informed.
Sincerely,

John, Erica, Deonté, and LaWanda
The Staff of New Jersey Theatre Alliance
