NJSO 2020–21 Season Announced! Join us for Beethoven, Mozart, Gershwin & more!

The season starts off with a literal bang in Beethoven’s Wellington’s Victory, paired with Music Director Xian Zhang leading Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, used so powerfully in The King’s Speech. Opening Weekend.

Enjoy more great masterworks throughout the season, including Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony, Mahler’s Seventh Symphony, Chopin’s First Piano Concerto, Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony and much more.

The 2021 Winter Festival features George Gershwin & the Sounds of America, highlighting some of Gershwin’s most famous works and a diverse set of American composers and artists on the stage. More info.

The 2020–21 season continues Beethoven’s 250th birthday celebration, featuring Beethoven works on Opening Weekend, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and all 10 Beethoven Violin Sonatas performed by Concertmaster Eric Wyrick!

Join us for spectacular special presentations including Jurassic Park in Concert, Star Wars: The Last Jedi in Concert, Handel’s Messiah and the NJSO debut of composer, violin and piano prodigy Alma Deutscher.

Superstar violinist Joshua Bell caps the season with Bruch’s beautiful First Violin Concerto and Bloch’s Baal Shem for Violin and Orchestra.
