The Piano Guys became an internet sensation by way of their successful series of original self-made music videos. They have garnered over 1.6 billion YouTube views across their 65 videos that feature their original blend of classical and pop music styles. Some of their most famous videos include their spin on One Direction’s “That’s What Makes You Beautiful,” and “Code Name Vivaldi,” a combination of The Bourne Identity soundtrack riff with a Vivaldi cello concerto performed on a high-speed train. In addition, “Titanium/Pavane” is a mash-up of French classical composer Gabriel Fauré’s “Pavane” with David Guetta’s “Titanium.”
The Piano Guys are Jon Schmidt (pianist, songwriter), Steven Sharp Nelson(cellist, songwriter), Paul Anderson (producer, videographer), and Al van der Beek (music producer, songwriter). They have released five studio albums, two Christmas releases, and a fan-favorite live album, earning six No. 1 debuts on Billboard’s Top Classical Albums chart.

Actor and three-time Grammy® Award nominated comedian George Lopez is coming to The State with his new stand-up comedy tour, The Wall World Tour! The comedian, best known for his self-titled television sitcom George Lopez, has embarked on three solo stand-up tours, voiced animated characters for both film and television; and has written two books; an autobiography entitled Why You Crying? (2004) and a memoir, I’m Not Gonna Lie and Other Lies You Tell When You Turn 50 (2013). He has also produced and starred in several HBO specials including The Wall; Tall, Dark and Chicano; and America’s Mexican.
The Jason Bishop Show: Straight Up Magic

From his spectacular Double Levitation to his phenomenal illusions, Jason Bishop, along with his lead assistant Kim Hess, presents an astonishing magic show for all ages. The show features grand illusions, sleight of hand, and close-up magic tricks in a modern and unique way. Bishop is an international award-winning illusionist who was the youngest person to win the Magician’s Alliance of Eastern States Stage Award, and one of the youngest people to compete in the Society of American Magicians World-Class competition.
This show is a part of State Theatre’s Family Day, a day-long festival where families can spend the day enjoying performances, and hands-on activities, and more.
