BUTTERFLY HOUSE TOURS

WHEN: WEDNESDAYS, JULY 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31. AUG. 7, 14, 21 & 28; 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
ADMISSION:
General audience, $5 per person.

Enjoy guided tours of the butterfly house to view and learn about local butterfly species. If the weather cooperates, we may try catching wild butterflies in the fields. Tours will continue weekly through the summer. Feel free to bring your camera or phone to take pictures.

FAIRY FESTIVAL

WHEN: SATURDAY, JULY 13, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
ADMISSION:
Children; $5 per child 3+, under 3 Free.

Come celebrate fairies and all things fairies at our annual festival. We will fete the rainbow fairies, woodland fairies, forest elves, gnomes and more. There will be a dance around the maypole, magical crafts, villages built in Honeysuckle Hollow and a stroll around the pond with the water sprites. Fairy finery, insect or animal costumes and gnome haberdashery is welcome!

SECRET LIVES OF BATS

WHEN: WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 8 - 9:30 p.m.
ADMISSION:
General Audience, Ages 5+; $5 per person

Join nocturnal naturalist Jeff Hoagland for an evening investigation of the world of bats, including a bat count of one of the colonies that resides on the Watershed Reserve.

CARNEGIE LAKE CANOE PADDLE

WHEN: SATURDAY, JULY 27, 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Turning Basin Park, Alexander Road, Princeton, NJ
ADMISSION: General Audience, ages 8+; $20 per person

Join us for a guided morning paddle on Lake Carnegie, in cooperation with the Princeton Canoe and Kayak Rental. Naturalist and Education Director Jeff Hoagland will share some of the many wonders of Lake Carnegie. View the lake from a different perspective, discovering a wide array of plant and animal life.

2019 BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL - SAVE THE DATE

WHEN: SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Come to our family-fun event and explore our Watershed Center. There will be many hands-on activities, live music, exciting vendors, and great food.

We welcome visitors every summer to tour the Kate Gorrie Butterfly house. Enjoy our train ride, animal show, an insect zoo, solar music, arts and crafts, and other fun happenings.
