SUMMIT PLAYHOUSE TO HOLD SUMMER THEATER WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS, TEENS

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL morning and afternoon theater workshops

Join SUMMIT PLAYHOUSE this summer for fun and educational youth theater workshops, as well as two youth productions at The Summit Playhouse!

We are thrilled to offer HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL morning and afternoon theater workshops for ages 6-12, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR production (by audition) for ages 9-14, and our full-length production of GREASE (School Edition, by audition) for performers ages 14-18!

Workshop info:

Through our one-week, high-energy production workshops, students will sing, act, dance and experience teamwork through the magic of theater, with the week culminating in two performances per group in our air conditioned facility, in front of friends and family! Roles will be assigned based on auditions in early June and all performers will be featured and get their chance to shine!

WHEN:

  • Session 1 for ages 6-8: June 24th - June 28th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Performances on June 28th at 7:00 PM and June 29th at 1:00 PM.
  • Session 2 for ages 9-12: June 24th - June 28th, 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Performances on June 29th at 7:00 PM and June 30th at 1:00 PM.

WHERE: Summit Playhouse, 10 New England Ave., Summit
TUITION: $350/student

Includes 15 hours of instruction and two performance dates, a workshop t-shirt, and a DVD recording of the production.

High School Musical Jr. info:

For performers ages 9-14, come out and audition for our full-staged production of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR, running July 5-14! Auditions will be held May 11 & May 13 and for those performers cast in the production, rehearsals will be held weekdays from 4:00-6:30 (performers called as needed) beginning the week of May 20. For performers ages 14-18, GREASE (School Edition), running July 25-August 4! Auditions will be held May 4 & May 6, and for those performers cast in the production, rehearsals will be held weekdays from 6:30-9:30 (performers called as needed) beginning the week of May 27.
